BRIAN MAY

Brian May is layered in LAWTON for his Queen tour around America in 2022.

Few rock guitarists possess a playing style as instantly recognizable as Queen's Brian May. With his orchestrated guitar armies (multi-tracked guitar lines overdubbed on top of each other) and instantly memorable, well-constructed melodic leads, May is in a class all by himself.

GEORGIA CECILE

Georgia Cecile is layered in LAWTON at her sold out shows at Duc Des Lombards Paris 2023.

Winner of ‘UK Jazz Act Of The Year’ and ‘Vocalist of the Year’ at the 2022 Jazz FM awards, Georgia Cécile is at the helm of the new wave of UK jazz crossover artists.

Growing up in Glasgow’s vibrant jazz scene, Georgia's grandfather was a renowned jazz pianist and she studied piano first before training as a vocalist and graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a first class honours in popular music. Inspired by the likes of Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Nancy Wilson, Aretha Franklin and Duke Ellington, the vocalist and songwriter’s debut album ‘Only The Lover Sings' co-written with her pianist Euan Stevenson, was “one of the most heralded albums of 2021” (Jazzwise) and topped the UK Official Charts -Jazz and Blues category.

Her sound has been described as having retro jazz, soul and r&b influences; particularly the girl groups of the 60s and 70s. She perfectly mixes classic songwriting with contemporary production and modern vitality - keeping storytelling and impeccable vocals at the forefront.

JOJO ORME

Jojo Orme is layered in LAWTON for the Heartworms show at Windmill Brixton, June 2023.

Heartworms, the brainchild of musician and poet Jojo Orme, is a cauldron of perplexity. Orme’s gothic take on avant-garde post-punk is beguiling; sardonic prose is delivered in a deceptively innocent manner, while irresistibly off-kilter grooves clash with a cacophony of reverb-drenched guitars.
